Schedule

The conference will run for four days in single session format to maximize communication between the two communities (nanoresearch and petrol & gas industry). Two main themes are planned:

  • Theme one: 'The oil & gas challenge for the Nanotech community'.
Theme one rationale: Many of the challenges facing the oil & gas industry remain unknown to the scientific community (excluding petroleum engineers) generally. It is of crucial importance that such issues are clearly communicated.
  • Theme two: 'Nanotech solutions for the oil & gas industry'.
Theme two rationale: Nanotech is an enabling multi-disciplinary technology, thus possibilities are infinite. Nanotech’s cross-industry solutions need to be presented to the industry’s executives to enable optimum decision making.
